Why Breath Works for Heaviness

Emotional and physical heaviness often reflects a state of low energy, suppressed emotion, or accumulated tension in the body. When we feel heavy, our breathing tends to become shallow and slow — reinforcing the very state we want to move through.

Breathwork can shift this pattern by increasing oxygen delivery, stimulating the lymphatic system, and releasing stored tension in the diaphragm and chest. As the breath expands, so does your sense of possibility. The body begins to feel lighter not because the circumstances changed, but because the breath created space inside you.
